Roses In Red And Yellow

Another still life in oils on gessoed masonite.
8" x 10". I'm painting a number of these florals this
size for the OSI show in Tulsa at the Garden Center
on the 23rd of October. Hopefully, a few people will
take some of these home.

Crepe Myrtle Still Life

Earlier this year, a car jumped the curb by our house
and flipped up and landed on a large crepe myrtle alongside
the house, keeping the car from crashing into our living
room. Thankful that the poor plant saved the living room
but sorry to see it destroyed...or so I thought.
This still life contains blossoms from the new sprouted
plant that has arisen in it's place. Those are tough plants.
This is 8" x 10", oil on gessoed masonite.

River Tree

Here's another view painted the same day as the previous
image from a higher angle. Still really overcast with a drop
of rain or two now and then. This is the Arkansas River
in Tulsa, Oklahoma looking north towards the 11th street
bridge. It's an 8" x 10" oil on gessoed masonite.

Arkansas River Bridge

This is a plein air painting of the 21st street
bridge in Tulsa on a cloudy day. Painted last
Thursday morning..nice day outside for
a change. This is 8"x 10" oil on gessoed

Rose Of Sharon

This is a painting, oil on panel, completed this
morning as a demonstration. It's 8"x 10" rendering
of Rose of Sharon blossoms clipped from the
plant in my back yard.

Fruit Still Life

This simple still life was painted today as a demo
for a class. Simplified brushstrokes and simplified
composition with a lot of paint on the brush.
"Think Masses" concept, yet again. This is 8" x 10"
oil on gessoed board.

Bill's Water Can

This is a small study in acrylics and it's
5" x 7" in size on gessoed masonite.
Midsummer scene in my father-in-law's
backyard garden. Sometimes, the simplest
images create fun paintings and this
was no exception.
