Another Outdoor Still Life

This is a 9" x 11" oil on masonite still life painted outdoors.
I painted one similar to this earlier in the same location
because the sun on the warm plaster wall gave warmth
to the colors and with the cobalt blue pots, made it
even more attractive as a still life subject. Painting a reflective
surface like the blue pots is always fun.

Del Rio White House

Here's another scene from Del Rio, Texas. This house is in the old
section of Del Rio. It's all white..kind of wished it had a blue or red roof
on it but I may go back over and add that once it dries. It's hard
to make white look interesting at noon on a sunny day!

Sharon's Pond

This is a 9" x 12" oil on gessoed mdf board
painted in a plein air session last Friday.
It was a challenge to make a lot of green look
interesting, so I bumped up the reds, purples and
yellows to create a little more interest.
Trying to get loose with this one.

Christmas Cactus

This is a quick still life study for a session and
it's on gessoed MDF board. That's a little different from
masonite and it's very sturdy. Once gessoed, it's very
firm and has a good texture. No warping at all.
More landscapes to follow after this one.
