This is a quick demo produced for an art class to show the different stages of painting that I use. It's a very quick study from a photo that I shot last year. It's a 9" x 12" painting on gessoed masonite with an orange underpainting.
This is an early spring scene of the Osage county countryside in Oklahoma. It's only a 5"x 7" oil on gessoed panel. I have a nice rich yellow orange underpainting that makes it a little warmer.
This is a morning view looking northeast from the Union Depot train station. There are several overpasses that cross the tracks and the historic Brady district is on the other side. The sky was so hazy, it was almost white. Not New Mexico, that's for sure. This was painted quickly on location.
